A Thank You To Our Brides

Reflecting back on our years of making custom wedding cakes, I see a kaleidoscope of smiling faces and  beautiful places. I hear snippets of conversation, music, tears of joy, and laughter of wonderful family gatherings. I see gorgeous flowers, delectable foods, ribbons, bows, and lace.

We put our heart and all our energy into providing the best tasting made from scratch cake. With exacting attention to detail we tried to faithfully interpret and present the bride with her dream wedding cake. My biggest thrill was watching a bride see her cake for the first time.. As Spencer pointed out, the cake is the only part of the wedding experience that the bride has not seen. The moment she does is priceless.

Each and every bride was special to us. Their personal stories and their wedding experiences were each unique. We were honored to be part of her special day. We felt it was our responsibility to deliver a top quality product in a professional manner befitting the occasion. Our goal was to exceed expectations and we believe we did everything possible to achieve that goal.

We learned so much from our brides, grooms, and their families. We incorporated suggestions and were continually asking for comment and input as to any aspect of their experience with us so that we could improve. They made us better, and for that, we thank you!

As we move away from making wedding cakes into another sector of our bakery business, our goal is to continue on with quality products, exacting detail, professional service and a passion for delighting our customers.

Whitney and Scott’s Wedding Cake Monogram

Whitney told Spencer during her tasting that she wanted me to do “my thing” with her cake, what a wonderful, delightful way to approach her cake. Whitney asked me to make her wedding cake unique to her. After completing her design, I decided to decorate three of the tiers with their new monogram, WNS.

In the video you can see me finishing the top tier of her wedding cake.  This aspect of her cake was a total surprise to her on her wedding day. So while the bride can try on her dress multiple times, envision her hair, and know what her groom is going to wear, the cake is an element of surprise. It is truly a delight to watch the bride see her cake for the first time.

Tiffany and Chad Wedding

DSC_2791 Tiffany and Chad 16 Tiffany and Chad 14

Tiffany and Chad chose a delicious selection of cupcakes with a first anniversary cake and a double ring topper. The flavors were carrot, chocolate, and strawberry.  Tiffany was one of the most calm and organized brides we have ever seem. She was truly in the moment, and really enjoyed her special day.

Tiffany is a beautiful girl from mid Ohio. Chad is a good looking young man from Tennessee. From what we can tell Chad really really did well marrying Tiffany. Both are beautiful people and they make a wonderful couple.

Elisa & Pete

[onehalf]

[/onehalf][onehalf_last]
The happiest most relaxed couple ever. They were completely at ease, and that made everyone feel welcome! We particularly enjoyed seeing Pete’s family’s wedding traditions. We have known Elisa from the day she was born so we might be just a little biased…..on this one…..she was fabulously beautiful……….

Amy and Alex’s Wedding Cake

The rustic setting for Amy and Alex’s wedding was a elegant vintage inn. The Inn at Evins Mill (circa 1935) is nestled in forrested rolling hills, outside Smithville Tennessee. The bridal party’s edgy attire and Amy’s gorgeous gown complimented each other perfectly. Her wedding cake had a forest theme complete with edible fondant mushrooms, ferns and wildflowers. She selected yellow cake with raspberry and truffle filling and strawberry velvet cake with white chocolate cream cheese filling. Enrobed with fondant over white chocolate butter-cream.  It was a beautiful day, a beautiful setting and a beautiful Amy.

Sherry and Gary’s Wedding Cake

Sherry and Aunt Linda came to taste and design her cake . Her fall wedding was in Doyle TN on her brother’s farm. She envisioned an all white cake with leaves, acorns and pumpkins.  On her wedding day Sherry walked in to view her cake and said, “that is exactly what I wanted, it’s beautiful.”  A perfect fall day in Tennessee, a stunning venue, a beautiful bride, and the wedding cake of her dreams. Sherry selected carrot cake filled with cream cheese icing, covered with white chocolate butter cream icing.
